alliance meetings

Since everyone was either finishing up finals and other activities or going home for break, we held this month's meeting online. We heard updates on conference planning from CWU and a debrief of FilO from UWT. We also discussed the NWFASA non-profit task force which will soon open applications to membership, and announced that we will be holding a fundraiser for Typhoon Tisoy and Mindinao relief efforts.
Thank you all for taking a moment from your break to stay updated with us!

wwu  heritage  night

WWU FASA celebrated its milestone 25th year with its annual heritage dinner on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019. The theme of the dinner this year was “Aming Pamana” which highlighted its inheritance and 25-year journey of being an organization that seeks to unify all students in Filipino heritage, history and culture in its community. The night hosted many performances ranging from traditional dances, the Maglalatik and Pagapir danced by Sayaw sa Western, to showcasing Western’s all-inclusive dance club SINI-HHA. Other highlights of the night included musical performances by WWU FASA’s own subgroup, Filipino Music Life, as well as from various FASA members. Additionally, the dinner featured a keynote speaker, Sigrid Batara, one of the founding members of the club. Aming Pamana was a success, with food, performances and a night dedicated to celebrating 25 years of memories and honoring those that paved the way of WWU FASA’s legacy.
