The Northwest Filipino-American Student Alliance consists of 21 collegiate organizations throughout Washington and Oregon. The Alliance provides Filipino-Americans an opportunity to build community throughout the Northwest.

TULAY: Thriving, Uniting and Learning Across the YearsConference is a flagship event that NWFASA hosts annually which draws together Filipino and Filipino-Americans all across the Pacific Northwest. Isang Bansang Pilipino at Oregon State University is proud to host the 2019 alliance conference as NWFASA celebrates its 25th anniversary as an established organization.
With 2019 being a significant year for the alliance, this year's conference theme is "25 Years of TULAY (bridge in Tagalog) - Thriving, Uniting and Learning Across the Years," bridging together not only the past, present, and future of the alliance but also the diverse lived experiences of the Pilipino/a/x. |
FILIPINO -AMERICAN HISTORY MONTHNWFASA is excited to release our Filipino-American History Month project highlighting identity, bridging the gap to our culture, honoring our past, and the progression for change.
FAHM is a nationally recognized event that commemorates the presence of our people in the United States and the experiences that helped shape the history of this country. TAHANAN: TAKING ACTION HERE AND NOWThe 23rd annual NWFASA Conference was held at Western Washington University. The theme was TAHANAN: Taking Action Here and Now Abroad and in the Northwest. "Recognizing the Filipino diaspora as we call the Philippines and the Northwest home, NWFASA strives to move forward as an alliance. Inspired by grassroots movements, we plan to take action through educating and empowering youth, and advocating for the advancement of Filipino-Americans in society."
